Does America Deserve To Live?

Dr. William Luther Pierce

Attack! newspaper, issue No. 41, 1975

Elsewhere in this Attack! is an article about the loss of freedom in Britain and Canada. These are freedoms which were once greatly cherished by the ancestors of the present inhabitants of those two countries. Today, however, their passing is hardly noticed.

The average Englishman may be furious with his government for insisting that he admit “sambos” and “wogs” into his social clubs, but he couldn’t care less that his government is preparing to jail writers who warn of the growing power of organized Jewry. After all, he himself ordinarily reads nothing but the results of the latest soccer match. And when he is in the mood for something more, . . .

From the 11th (1967) edition of American Men of Science (Jaques-Cattell Press), pages 4178-4179:

Why We Fight

by William Piercefrom Attack!  #14, 1972

When they are desperate and have their backs against a wall, most men will fight, if they can see a chance thereby of relieving their plight.

In America today, desperate men are scarce.

We complain about taxes and about rising prices, but we are not desperate about either, despite imaginative rhetoric to that effect heard occasionally.

We denounce the treason in our government and the alien monopoly over our information media, but neither have made us desperate.

Discontent, Yes; Desperation, No.

The busing of school children into integrated blackboard jungles makes us angry, but few have become really desperate as a result of even the most outrageous busing edicts.

Those who felt a strong . . .

Dr. Pierce Looks to Future for Dissidents

From “Letters to Editor,” National Vanguard No. 110, March-April 1989:

How Much Longer?

I would appreciate a clarification of your position on just how long the present System will last and what our strategy should be in coping with it. It often seems from the overall tone of NATIONAL VANGUARD that you expect the System to crash of its own accord as a result of the lowered racial quality of American society. At the very least, you assume such deterioration in the standard of living that a White revolt would find enough supporters for a chance of success.

My question: Why do you believe the System must deteriorate so dramatically?Allow me to propose a counter-theory, which I will call the . . .

Why don’t all the pro-White organizations unite?

A question posed to Dr. Pierce, from Attack!, Issue No. 42, 1976 Q. Why don’t all the patriotic, pro-White organizations unite instead of each one trying to win the battle against America’s enemies separately? If we could join forces the way those on the other side do, we would begin winning a few battles instead of losing all the time. A. The answer to that question is readily apparent to anyone in the leadership ranks of any of the organizations in question, but it is difficult to explain convincingly to someone who does not have such a favored view. Very briefly, the reasons for the disunity among patriots may be roughly broken down into differences in motivation, personality problems, and . . .

In Defense of Hitler and his National-Socialism

From “Letters to Editor,” National Vanguard No. 103, Jan.-Feb. 1985:

“No” to Socialism I read the article in Issue No. 102 by William Simpson twice. I’ve read all of his articles very carefully since you first began printing them, and I am greatly impressed by his conclusions. I was raised in a Christian home. Both my parents were very religious, and I started reading the Bible, at my mother’s urging, when I was 12 years old. From the beginning I had some doubts about both the Old Testament and the New Testament, and ever since then I’ve had struggles with myself about the Bible’s teachings. After reading William Simpson’s articles in NATIONAL VANGUARD I have come to . . .

Conservatism or Radicalism? A Call for a Spiritual Elite

The following text is a transcript of the talk given by Attack! editor Dr. William Pierce at the weekly meeting of the National Alliance on January 16, 1977. Conservative and right-wing political groups are concerned with a number of problems these days: forced school busing, taxes, gun control, street crime, inflation. They oppose these things in various ways: through public demonstrations; through propaganda efforts with leaflets, magazines, or newspapers; through lobbying; and through election campaigns. And they gain members and supporters from those elements of the population who are also opposed to these things.

In general, the more concrete, specific, and immediate a problem is, the larger and more enthusiastic will be the public response to right-wing efforts. . . .

Why Conservatives Can’t Win

Some of my best friends are conservatives. I sincerely like them and I admire them for their genuine virtues: for their sense of propriety and personal integrity in an age of corruption, for their independent spirit and their willingness to stand on their own feet in an increasingly paternalistic society.

Therefore, I hope my conservative friends will forgive me for what I am about to write.

A Tragic Choice

There is not the least doubt in my mind that if I were forced to cast my lot with either conservatism or with the left – old or new – I would choose conservatism.

But fortunately, none of us is faced with such a limited choice. It would surely be tragic . . .
